Astronomiroll is a sci-fi dice building game where you try to get astronomically high scores

Inspired by the classic dice game Farkle, Astronomiroll takes push-your-luck dice rolling into outer space. Roll, cache, reroll, and launch your ship while building powerful synergies with dice, boosters, consumables, and upgrades.

How to Play

On your turn, roll the dice, create a hand, and cache it. Then comes the hard part:

  • Roll again and press your luck?
  • Launch your ship and convert your cached potential into Power?
  • Risk everything for an even bigger score?
  • Use a consumable to change the outcome in your favor?
  • Deploy a die stored in Cargo?
  • Cache all your dice and trigger a full reroll for massive gains?

The choice is yours.

If you succeed, you'll reach escape velocity, explore the solar system, shop for upgrades, improve your ship and build synergies, and face boss levels that force you to adapt your strategy.

What I’d especially love feedback on

Is the core loop easy to understand? Do the risk/reward decisions feel meaningful? Are upgrades exciting? And where did you feel confused, bored, or overpowered?

Planned Content

I've intentionally limited the amount of content in this build so I can focus on making the core gameplay loop as fun as possible.

But don't worry — I've got hundreds of ideas for new dice, boosters, ships, hands, bosses, and more. :)

Pre-Alpha Playtest Build

Astronomiroll is in active development, and this is a pre-alpha playtest build. There will probably be bugs! I haven't found them all yet, but I do my best to fix them as quickly as I can.

This build is being submitted to the Feedback Game Jam specifically to help improve the game, so feedback on the core loop, balance, clarity, and what you found fun or frustrating is especially helpful.

Known Issues

  • Please use a Chromium-based browser. Firefox currently has a rendering issue that we're working to fix.
  • The first load can occasionally hang or lag for a while. If you get stuck in the loading elevator, refresh the page.
  • If the resolution looks low, try playing in fullscreen.
